WHAT TYPE OF HEATING DO YOU NEED

As technology and regulations move forward, there are a multitude of different types of heating system which can be used in domestic properties.

Radiator based systems are the most common system used for new build properties, either with a gas-fired boiler or a heat pump acting as the heat source. It is vitally important that the radiators are correctly sized to suit the type of heat source being used and REDD have the capability to provide accurate radiator system designs

Heating systems incorporating a hot water cylinder are compulsory with heat pump systems and are common with larger house type designs. REDD advise the inclusion of a hot water cylinder wherever we deem it essential, providing the end user with the most suitable system. Any heat pump system will require a hot water cylinder and REDD can advise on all the cylinder options. As part of the Future Homes standards, REDD will make provision in our designs for the future installation of a heat pump cylinder, which is a very important fact, overlooked by many others.

Underfloor Heating (UFH) systems are becoming much more popular through the increased use of heat pumps in new build properties. The lower operating temperatures of a heat pump system lend themselves much better to UFH than radiator systems, particularly in larger ground floor rooms. REDD work with a number of UFH specialists to obtain accurate underfloor system information if required. As we are 100% independent, we can work with any UFH company and can implement their designs into our design package, should that be required. REDD have a wide knowledge of UFH design and can provide independent advice should a customer have any querie

The above means that our designs are totally comprehensive. We can base designs on the above, as well as design systems including electric boilers, electric panel heaters, fan coil units and hybrid systems. Any type of domestic heating system, incorporating any combination of heat source and heat emitter, can be considered.
